English names and local matching

When you enter an English name, the tool sends it to our own name-matching endpoint with an optional pronunciation hint and selected preferences such as gender direction, style, meaning theme, approach, and result count. Our server uses the maintained name collection and fixed matching rules. Name inputs are not sent to an AI model provider.

Do not enter identity numbers, confidential documents, passwords, or sensitive personal information in the name fields. The matching service returns suggestions for comparison; it does not establish your identity or the origin of your English name.

Without an English name, the dedicated generator selects from its in-browser collection; homepage quick generation contacts our own server. Local name data does not mean all site activity stays in your browser. Hosting and analytics operate as described below.

Request limits and technical records

Our server applies a basic per-instance request limit to local generation and name matching. Its in-memory counter uses a network address from request headers to group requests within a short window. This counter is not stored in Redis or sent to a model provider. Infrastructure providers also process network addresses to deliver and protect the service.

The local request-limit window is one minute. Expired counters stop limiting new requests and may be cleared during cleanup or when the server instance restarts. Name-matching responses use no-store cache headers; the application does not maintain a separate cache of model responses.

Hosting, error, and security systems may process request metadata such as time, route, browser information, and network details. Their retention depends on operational settings. We do not claim a universal deletion period for every infrastructure service.

Saved names and your browser

Saved-name shortlists and some preferences use your browser’s local storage. They are associated with that browser profile and are not an authenticated cross-device account. Other people who can use the same browser profile may be able to see them.

You can clear site data through your browser settings. Clearing local storage may remove saved names and preferences. Optional pronunciation playback uses browser speech capabilities; the availability and handling of a particular voice depend on the browser or voice service.

Analytics and advertising

The site may use Google Analytics to understand page views, referral sources, broad device categories, and feature use. Analytics and hosting information help us identify broken pages and improve useful parts of the site. The information processed depends on enabled integrations and applicable consent settings.

Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website or other websites. Google’s advertising cookies enable it and its partners to serve ads based on visits to this site and other sites on the Internet.

You can manage personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings and learn about Google’s advertising technologies. Other vendors’ available opt-out choices depend on the networks serving ads. Where a consent message is offered, use it to manage the choices it provides; browser controls can also block or delete cookies.

Microsoft Clarity

We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors navigate and interact with this website through heatmaps, session replays, clicks, scrolling, and technical usage information. This helps us identify confusing controls and improve the name tools. Microsoft processes this information through Clarity; cookies and other tracking technologies may be used according to the project configuration and applicable consent settings.

We mark the name-entry and generated-result areas for masking in Clarity recordings. We do not send entered names as custom analytics identifiers. Masking concerns analytics recordings; our server still processes matching requests as described above. Email feedback and requests

If you email hello@chinesenamesgenerator.com, we receive your address and the information you choose to send. We use it to answer your request, investigate a reported problem, and maintain relevant correction records. Messages to our domain contact address pass through Cloudflare Email Routing and are forwarded to the team’s inbox. The mailbox provider and the systems used to read and respond to messages also handle this information.

Keep messages focused on the issue and omit unnecessary personal data. Retention depends on the support or correction purpose and any applicable obligations; we do not publish private feedback as a testimonial without permission. Contact us if you want us to review information you have sent.

Security, children, and changes

We use access controls, input validation, and request limits to reduce misuse. No internet service can guarantee complete security. The public name tools are not an identity-verification service and should not be used to store confidential information.

The site is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact the team so it can be reviewed. We do not require a birth date or identity document to browse the site.

This policy may change when a feature, data flow, provider arrangement, or disclosure changes. The update date records the actual policy revision. Your applicable privacy rights depend on your circumstances and jurisdiction; contact us with the relevant request rather than sending unnecessary identity information in advance.
